(Celebrated internationally on Oct. 17th)
One of two events the WGFH will be participating on during World Food Day, the meeting on the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty will be a gathering of minds of all sectors of development–UN, NGO, international governments, and private sector–to hear the voices of the world’s impoverished directly, and to take a first step in including them in the decision-making processes involving the end of poverty as part of the 2030 agenda of the SDGs. Speeches from children and adults who have lived in poverty in different parts of the world will be heard as well as a musical performance by Bárbara Martínez.
